Lynda is currently President of Schrier Wirth Executive Search, a search firm, founded in 1996, that specializes in the hospitality and real estate industries.  Her firm’s varied client list includes major hotel chains, independent properties, and hospitality real estate owning and advisory firms.

Lynda is a 1982 graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.  Her prior industry experience includes various positions in operations and marketing with the ITT/Sheraton Corporation, and over ten years of hospitality consulting experience with the New York office of Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF Consulting).  She is a certified general real estate appraiser and was an adjunct faculty member of New York University’s School for Hospitality & Tourism and for the World Trade Center Institute.

Lynda is the President of the International Cornell Hotel Society for 2009.  She was the 1st Vice President in 2008 and the 2nd Vice President in 2007.   Additionally she was the Northeast Regional Vice President from 1997-2003 and a Past President of the New York City Chapter for from 1991-1992.  Additionally she represented the Society on the Alumni Trustee Nomination Committee for the University from 1994 to 1997.   She was selected for the Alumni Showcase for the northeast region in 2004.  Lynda is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the Lee and Mary Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Hotel School, and a trustee for the Cornell Hotel Society Foundation.

She has written various articles for industry publications including Lodging, Hotel Business, and The Urban Land Institute’s publication on hotel development, and has spoken at various conferences including the International Hospitality Investment Conference and Commercial Property World.  Lynda has made numerous presentations at the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association’s monthly events.  She has also been a guest lecturer at Cornell and at Harvard Business School.

Lynda is a past co-chair of the “Learning to Look” program in her local grade school. It  is a program which teaches elementary school children how to look at works of art.  She resides in Scarsdale, New York with her husband Michael and their two children, Harrison and Sabrina. 

Cherie is currently Vice President of Schrier Wirth Executive Search. She has been with the firm for more than 10 years and has successfully placed candidates in a wide range of hospitality related positions . She is a graduate of the Masters of Professional Studies Program at Cornell University’s School of Administration and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration  and International Studies from Rollins College.

Early in Cherie’s career, she provided consulting services to the hospitality industry. She worked for Laventhol & Horwath for the majority of the 1980’s and held the role of Manager of their Hospitality and Real Estate practice in Boston. 

 

Prior to joining Schrier Wirth, Cherie provided independent hospitality consulting services in the Northeast. Throughout her career, she has held major chairperson roles on various Association and Fundraising committees in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions. 

 

Cherie is an active member of Cornell Hotel Society and the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).  She volunteers and is a member of the Benefits Committee of the Orphaned Starfish Foundation, an organization dedicated to building and funding computer centers in orphanages and homes for battered and street children in Latin America.

 

Cherie has two children, Amanda and Doug and lives in Ridgewood, NJ.

 

Niels Bach has more than twenty years of experience in International Business Development. He has extended business areas of companies across the Atlantic, to Europe, Russia, India and the Far East. He has primarily worked with IT centric companies within the mobile Industry through Mergers and Acquisitions.

 

Niels is a former diplomat and has worked for the Danish Foreign Ministry for a number of years. He also has a background in the corporate world in Europe and America.

 

At Schrier Wirth Executive Search Niels advises on international issues as well as on the use of technology.

 

Niels holds a marketing degree from Copenhagen Business School as well as a masters degree in statistics from the University of Copenhagen.

 

He is a avid tennis player and he lives in Scarsdale together with his wife Birgit, and their two sons, Andreas and Christian.
